Do's and Don't's for a Spinelli fan: (Spoilers)

While watching GH under this current team as a Spinelli fan:


Don't expect any backstory of deep meaning.

Don't think that he's related to anyone on canvas. Jason is his family.

Don't expect the Logan murder mystery to bond Spinlu in any way.

Don't think that this thing with Claudia is any deeper than putting her in close proximity to Jason.



Do expect whacky hi-jinx.

Do expect every girl on the show to say that he's the sweetest guy ever and she adores him with all her heart but gosh, he just doesn't do it for her.

Do expect anyone who has feelings for Spin to be ignored or killed off.

Do expect Maxie to say that she hates Matt, but OMG she really wants to nail him. This story has played on repeat a thousand times.

Do call and write to tell TPTB that BA is an award winning theater actor, who will take chances and deserves something better than only comic relief.

complacency- A feeling of contentment or self-satisfaction, especially when coupled with an unawareness of danger, trouble, or controversy.
This has to be one of my favorite words as it relates to support campaigns. I would like to believe Hugs for Spinelli last February was a huge success. Was it a coincidence that we got some Spinelli GREAT moments all late winter through Spring? Perhaps but you know what perhaps not.

Lets look at it this way. When was the last time you wrote a letter? When was the last time you called the comment line?

Its time again that we show our support of Bradford Anderson in his role of Spinelli on General Hospital.

Whats IN one moment in the soap world may not be IN the next. Character and actors
ARE disposed of regularly this is an industry fact.

So join us again in a broad support campaign though the end of July. Make a personal commitment. You CAN make a difference.

5. Vote for Spinelli in polls. Any positive feedback is important. Seek poll out and respond to polls. Click the GH the Soap graphic on the right side bar different times per day. Its counted as a vote for Spinelli, Bradford and this site. Do the same for other Bradford/Spinelli themed sites.

6. Make Spinelli Videos. Post them on Youtube and other video sharing websites so that the whole world can see it.

7. Blog.. Do you have blog? well then blog about Bradford. Blog about Spinelli. Tell your family and friends and even the world. Make sure you post is available for EVERYONE to read.

8. Join the campaign Its a simple way of expressing your commitment. Then get the word out. Tell your friends. Post on boards. Get as many people to join as possible. Use graphics to get pictures attention.

9. Make a goal related to the campaign and stick to it. Its only a short period of time to keep up. Post your personal goals as a response to this post to help others make their own goals.

10. Remember to be a good representative of a Bradford fan. Try to always stay positive. Attempt to stay out of 'fan wars' . Don't attack other actors in your messages.

11. Don't forget the media.. Bradford said at a recent event that Soap Opera Digest never interviews him

An afternoon with Bradford in NH

Well the Second Annual Meet & Greet to benefit the Manchester Animal Shelter is over and it was another great event. Bradford really takes time with everyone and makes no one feel second rate.

I had a busy morning pre-event. My baby had his six birthday party. Is it bad that I scheduled the party so that it would not conflict with this event?

I left my house a little after 2pm. I made it to the location before the event started though I was a little late because I could not find the place. (THANK YOU ALLISON FOR SAVING ME) I sat with my girl Allison during the event. She got some great seats. (uncomfortable but nice)

Bradford arrived shortly after 3pm. (I heard rumors he got just as lost as I did )

He did an question and answer section. I got some of it on video but I missed a lot of the first questions. (link to videos)

Some Highlights:

Spinelli may or may not have Aspergers. Its something thats been discussed and alluded to but its not something that is 'official' because its never been on the screen. They planned a more related storyline but he not sure if it will ever get picked up.

When Sonny called Spinelli "Freaky Boy" it was adlibed when the higher up said that Sonny needed to be mean to Spinelli. Maurice got Bradford a shirt that says FREAKY BOY three times.

Bradford is going to the Emmy's he is presenting with Jason Cook and Kirsten Storms. His date is his mom. No really He is bring his mom. Isn't he the sweetest guy ever.

Bradford would LOVE to do Dancing with the Stars but does not feel he is big enough.

I asked if we would get another Naked Spinelli Day. He said perhaps we just may. He then discussed he feels he has shown more skin then most everyone else on the show. He mentioned the scene where Spinelli was being 'trained' by same and he was shirtless. The lighting director asked that he be bronzed because his white chest was making the light reflect.

He spoke a his high school alma mater graduation yesterday (Friday) and he is getting excited about his upcoming high school reunion.

He was not asked to do Night Shift 2 and will not be in it.

He discussed his thoughts on both Maxie and Lulu. He loves working with both Kirsten & Julie.

He then took a recording for his web show on Soapnet.com

After that he visited every single table to get a chance for people to take pictures and visit. When we got to our table he commented he had just show his mother this blog.

They then did a group picture & presented Bradford a letter of recognition. He seemed generally touched. and we hung out awhile and then I had to go. The kids needed me. Time to go back into mommy mode. I was going to bring my daughter today (I even paid for her to go) but the girl needed to rest and honestly it would not have been a good place for her to hang out for 4 hours :) Maybe next time. If you ask my daughter what her favorite Spinelli moment is her response is "When he was Naked Momma.. It was so funny" Did I mention she was 4?

It was all and all a good event. How special it is Bradford is so eager to give back.

The stars of ABC's "All My Children," "One Life to Live," and "General Hospital" will descend upon Nashville during CMA Music Festival, which is held Thursday through Sunday, June 5-8.
"Our fans really enjoyed meeting and interacting with ABC's daytime stars last year, so we couldn't be happier that they are joining us again," said Tammy Genovese, CMA Chief Executive Officer. "Country Music and daytime television have a lot in common. And at the heart of both industries, is a genuine relationship between the artists and actors and their fans."

Participants are: R"All My Children" - Bobbie Eakes ("Krystal Carey"), and Ricky Paull Goldin ("Jake Martin").
"One Live to Live" -Kassie DePaiva ("Blair Cramer"), and Kamar de los Reyes ("Antonio Vega").
"General Hospital" - Bradford Anderson ("Damian Spinelli"), Rebecca Herbst ("Elizabeth Webber"), and Jason Thompson ("Dr. Patrick Drake").
Eakes was signed to a record deal in Nashville at one point, but never released a CD.

Soap columnist Lynda Hirsch speaks out on the Emmys

The most glaring omission this year -- maybe any year -- is Bradford Anderson (GH's Spinelli). The actor took a three-week role and turned it into a leading character. This guy has to memorize the most outlandish dialogue. Even when playing the fool, he is anything but. Unlike many actors, he does not need to act suave. Even when given the chance to be a hero, Anderson always lets that little "who, me?" edge come through..

Steve Burton was asked, "Who should win the Emmy?"



"Bradford no doubt. First of all, his is not your typical soap opera character. He makes that character believable, funny, vulnerable, charming. The kid's a great actor to pull that stuff off. he should get an Emmy for memorizing that dialogue!
He can do drama. He can do comedy. He can do it all. I'm not that good an actor. He definitely deserves an Emmy"

The New SOAPS IN DEPTH and other things..

The new SOAPS IN DEPTH (dated April 21) has Spinelli and Maxie as their "hot topic" (eight letters about them with different views, only one negative, the other less positive ones are made that Spin would get over Georgie so fast (um... He never had a relationship with her) and another fearing that Maxie will hurt him. One just thinks Spin looks hot naked.



There's also more fan feedback in other spots. One fan asked about Spixie fantasy with "Funny Valentine" Also, made a comment about how people are jumping on the Spixie bandwagon..

Mail is getting them mentions, even when they aren't interviewed or featured. So YAY.

(Haven't seen SOAP WEEKLY or DIGEST this week, but I know in past there was some positive mail about them)

In other news, at Steve Burton's event in Michigan, he told fans that he thought Bradford should win an Emmy and he LOVES Spinelli and Maxie.

Haven't heard anything out of TOUCHED BY A STAR, yet.

BTW, a reminder, Bradford will be attending his own fan event later this month in Chicago.
